From Lisbon to Porto: a 3-hour flight delay. Great that we could finally spend some time to sample Portugal's McD. Their garlic aioli mayonnaise to go with McNugget was one of the most delicious dipping sauce we've ever tasted.
Our arrival at Porto Airport was greeted by super heavy rain. It was so terrible that our umbrellas broke, his shoes and backpack soaked, and my boots flooded. Not the best way to begin with. To worsen, our hotel was located on a slope. Pity Billy. He had to push the luggage uphill (and it wasn't light). We spent some time allocating the entrance of the hotel, in the heavy rain, bravo.
When we finally made it to our room, we felt a disaster had just ended. Indeed. We laid everything flat, hoping it'll all dry up before our next stop. We were quiet for a few moments, before breaking into laughter again about how silly we must have looked like moments ago.
Late evening. The rain had finally subsided. We found a random restaurant and were delighted by the tastiness of our dinner and friendliness of the waiting staff. Absolutely an unexpected "randomness".
This day seemed to be the messiest day of all but well, it all ended well.
